This policy explains, in plain English, what The Lean Stack collects when you use this site, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Email signups. If you use one of our sign-up forms, we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name.
• Usage analytics. We collect basic, anonymized events about how the site is used - page views, which links and buttons are clicked, and which calculator you used - so we can see what's helpful and what isn't. We don't collect names, addresses, or payment information through analytics.
• Calculator inputs. The numbers you type into a calculator (like estimated traffic or monthly ad spend) may be recorded to help us understand how the tools are used. We don't ask for or need any personal financial account details to run a calculator.

We intentionally avoid collecting anything beyond this. No passwords, no payment details, no government IDs.

Why we collect it

Email addresses are used to send the resource you signed up for and, occasionally, related emails - new guides, tool updates, or things we think are genuinely useful. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Analytics and calculator data are used only to improve the site: fixing confusing pages, prioritizing new content, and understanding which tools are actually useful.

Affiliate links and third-party tracking

When you click an affiliate link (for example, a "Try Systeme.io Free" button), you're taken to that company's website, which may set its own cookies or tracking to attribute the referral to us. That tracking is controlled by the destination site, not by us, and is covered by their own privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure for more on how these links work.

What we don't do

We don't sell your email address or personal information to third parties. We don't share your data with anyone beyond the service providers needed to run this site (for example, an email delivery provider to send the resources you sign up for).

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@the-lean-stack.com. We'll confirm once it's done.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
